John Lutian
Researcher (Alum)
John Lutian is a chemical-materials engineer in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG), where he supports the optical-research aspects of various projects including the laser-tracking engines in mice. He has a passion for combining optical and computational systems in his human-computer-interaction development projects. John also supports optical metrology and material characterization.
Before joining Microsoft, he worked for various companies on the American east coast that were involved in the night-vision industry and medical imaging systems, including Galileo Electro-Optics Corp. and Schott Fiber Optics, Inc.
John received a B.S. from the University of Connecticut’s Institute of Materials Science.
