Rohith is an applied scientist in the Applied Sciences Group (ASG) at Microsoft, where he focuses on optimizing large language models (LLM’s), small language models (SLM’s), and multimodal LLMs for neural processing units (NPU’s).

Before joining ASG, he worked on several projects across Microsoft, including Xbox Copilot, OneNote Copilot, and the optimization of models for both Xbox handheld devices and OneNote within Office applications.

Before Microsoft, Rohith spent nearly two years at Sturfee, a Silicon Valley startup, where he helped develop a Visual Positioning System (VPS).  His work there involved building and optimizing image retrieval models for efficient deployment both on devices and in the cloud.

Earlier in his career, Rohith built a computer vision-based maze game called Form-N-Fun, which he open-sourced on GitHub.  The project was later featured on Experiments with Google and has earned more than 170 stars on GitHub.

Outside of work, Rohith enjoys hiking and watching movies.
