Matthew Stephure
Principal Software Engineer


Matthew Stephure is a principal software engineer in the Applied Sciences Group (ASG) at Microsoft, where he works on a variety of incubation projects.
Before joining ASG, he spent fifteen years working up and down the stack across the industry. He has taught robotic dogs to play soccer, built machine-learning systems for cancer growth prediction, developed surgical robots, and built a scalable cloud gaming service.
Matthew holds a B.Sc. in computing science from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, making coffee, gaming, and dragon boat racing.
