Bogdan Radakovic
Prinicipal Research Software Development Engineer
Bogdan Radakovic is a principal research software development engineer in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG), focused on building machine‑learning platforms that power intuitive, high‑impact user experiences. He serves as the tech lead for ASG’s streaming platform, driving end‑to‑end architecture, reliability, and performance.
Previously, Bogdan architected on‑device small language models on Windows leveraging NPU’s and led text-intelligence efforts across multilingual typing, language modeling, and personalization. Before returning to ASG, he worked on privacy infrastructure at Meta, and earlier contributed across Windows platform back end, developer experience and controls, document-layout analysis, and math handwriting recognition.
He holds a degree in applied and theoretical mathematics from the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade, graduating with a GPA of 9.81 out of 10.
In his free time, Bogdan enjoys time with his family, playing basketball, and chess.
