Ayyoob Imani is an applied scientist in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).

During his third year as a Ph.D. student, Ayyroob joined ASG as a research intern, where he worked on efficient generation using large language models.  Ayyroob finished his Ph.D. in natural language processing at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

Ayyoob has conducted research on the applications of multilingual large language models for low-resource languages, representation learning, and cross-lingual transfer.  He has explored the potential of high-resource language representations to boost the performance of downstream tasks in low-resource languages.  Furthermore, he has delved into understanding how the synergy of having even a minimal amount of data across various languages can foster a deeper comprehension of each language.

Outside of work, Ayyoob enjoys hiking, playing sports, and spending time with friends.
